I believe government runs best when it is transparent, respectful of different viewpoints and grounded in the rules that govern our town.
After more than a decade of serving Eliot as a volunteer and Planning Board Chair, I am running for Select Board to bring the thoughtful and forward-looking approach to governance I have learned along the way to the Eliot Select Board.
About me
Community Service
Land Use
Decisions that make lasting changes in our community require balance. My work conserving local land was rooted in the guiding principle that not all land must be conserved. People in our community need places to live.
One of the ‘Biggest Ideas’ in our updated Comprehensive Plan, creating a Mixed Use zone along 236, exemplifies this balance and was ratified by voters in 2025.
Legislation
I bring experience working at the intersection of local and state policy. Through my work adapting LD 2003 for Eliot, I contributed testimony and rule-making comments that helped shape how the law is implemented at the local level.
This work was recognized with a Citizen Planner award and reflects my commitment to thoughtful, practical solutions that work for our community.
Budgets
I approach town budgets with a focus on long-term value, not just short-term cost. Through my work on the Energy Commission, including the 2018 solar power purchase agreement, I’ve seen how thoughtful planning can reduce costs and deliver lasting benefits.
I will bring that same disciplined, forward-looking approach to town finances.
